Tonight (2/13/2014)

Been online for maybe an hour and a half so far. Haven't worked towards any map completes but did finish dailies + Griffon Slayer + Hylek Slayer + Harpy Slayer. All of which I was 100-ish away from 1,000 kills.

I'm nearing 6,500 achievement points for the next chest so since I was close on all 3 I figured why not. Plus if you find an area good for #'s of baddies it makes it pretty easy. So here's where I did those 3 for anyone looking to finish those:

Griffon Slayer - Ossencrest Climb is located in the northwest corner of Snowden Drifts. Starting at top of steps near the Razorwing skill point. And then all over the hillside towards the Modniir area, then across the road are some more. All in all there are 20+ that spawn in that area and they respawn pretty quick. So by the time you've made one loop around they are spawned back in again.

Harpy Slayer - Apostate Wastes area of Firerise Heart. There is often an event going to drive the Harpies away. Plus there's a whole ton of nests and various young harpy, harpy warrior, harpy hunter and at least 1 veteran. This was fairly easy too, just beware some of them spawn in clumps and some of them summon young harpies which leads you open to getting overwhelmed doing it by yourself if you're not careful.

Hylek Slayer - This one was super easy because of the low level. Metrica Province - the Loch Jezt area. There is a camp of Hylek on each side of the water. These are really low level and die quick. Also respawning quick.

If you find that you are close to any of the slayer achievements but aren't sure where to go to find lots of the baddies that you need. All you have to do is check out the guild wars 2 wiki page. You can search by name, example Young Harpy. And it will give you a list of the areas they are located in.

Also available you can use Dulfy.net's Slayer Achievement Guide dulfy.net/2013/05/13/gw2-slayer-achievements-guide/#1 Their guide tells you where, how many spawn and if there are any special tips they recommend. The whole Dulfy.net page is a great resource for this game. And it's often where I get information that I share.
