Just wondering what everyone thought about it now that it's been out for awhile?
I mostly seem to like it so far, with small exceptions.
It's good when you're trying to do certain map completion places that sometimes could be difficult before (solo). Speaking for myself anyway. I'll give you a few examples: The Darkhoof Heights skill point in Snowden's Drift with the raven shaman and her helper. I've always found that to be a pain in the rear (when I was doing maps without my fellow guildies). Also the Ascalonian Ruins skill point in Plains of Ashford. Yes, I know, low level area. However the number of vets you have to fight at the top can be a pain in the arse. Since the megaserver update these have become much easier because there is a better chance there will already be other people in the area doing the same thing.
The thing that I haven't liked so much... is kind of the same thing. There are some instances where having that many more people doesn't seem like a benefit but a pain in the butt itself. Especially in lower level areas when you're trying to do events or something like that. Because of the number of people who may be participating it tends to be over a lot quicker than it used to. When I'm doing dailies, and we have Daily Reviver as an option I've always gotten through that one pretty quickly. I'd always just go to Diessa Plateau if the Town of Nageling wp was contested. It either meant the Champion giant was up or the seperatist event was going on. In either case there was always a bunch of dead NPC's laying around to make easy work of this daily. Now, with a lot more people in the maps those events don't stay up as often as they used to. Not that it's a horrible thing. There were just certain things that were easier before.
Another result of the megaserver is the number of guild recruiting you see in map chat. A lot more guilds shouting out looking for members, from multiple servers.
Anyway, those are some things I've noticed. Wondering if anyone else has had any experiences that they'd like to share?
*cheerio*
