Hey team wanted to pass on some tips to hopefully help you get through this sometimes frustrating mega puzzle:
1) When doing standing jumps to get to nearby ledges/leaves, jump straight up in the air and instantly move in the direction you want to land. Be careful not to overrun your landing!
2) The flytraps in Zone 3 will not trigger unless you touch/land on the pink center. So don't hurry your next jump from these if you land on the green portion.
3) Ferns that you can stand on may look to steep to do so, but aim yourself for the tip of the low-hanging leaf and jump there, then climb up the larger part of the leaf.
4) It is extremely helpful to have your stick or key (depending on which you may have in your hand) set to auto-attack. Do this by holding CTRL and right clicking on the first skill. This operates the same way with any skills outside of SAB. Reminder, each time you equip a key, you need to reset this. Also, if you choose to drop your key for use later, you'll need to re-auto-attack your stick.
5) Always stay moving when attacking by circling enemies. With your auto-attack on, simply get within range and you'll swat the bad guys while avoiding attacks. Wait for spiders to stop whirling, then smack em while they're stunned.
6) BOMB: You can blast open the secret areas of the SAB with these, as well as use them to kill creatures quickly. Once purchased, the bomb kit is permanent for that character. It uses 1 bauble per use (either by throwing a bomb, or by planting one). Face the direction of the creature you want to kill then throw it. Mind the range of the attack. Also, they have a relatively linear flight, so using them to knock out enemies high above isn't feasible.
7) WHIP: Use this to stun crocodiles in Zone 3 so you can use them for hopping onto and over. Don't use the whip for regular attacks.
Like the bomb, this purchase is permanent for that character.
8) If you fall in the green swamp water (Zone 2 or 3) keep hopping as you go. Most times if you time the jumps properly, you can avoid taking damage. You lose 1/2 a heart each second standing in the green water.
9) You do not take any damage from falling! Regardless of height. Nice huh? Just don't fall into the bottomless pit areas of the zones!
10) KEYS: If you die while you have a key in your hand, you can go back and pick it up (unless you die by falling into a bottomless pit, and sometimes if you die in swamp water). Also, should you be holding a key and you get stuck by the tangle plants in Zone 3, you will lose your key. In order to use your candle to burn them while you have a key, you must drop the key first. Keys are not permanent, and you can only have one at a time. If an enemy drops one while you have one, the key will remain there.
11) CANDLE: Don't use the candle as an attack. Only use it to clear the tangle plants in Zone 3, or for lighting your way in dark areas. Don't buy this item, as you will get one free in Zone 2. This is a permanent item for your character also.
12) SHOVEL: A permanent purchase for the character, use this to dig randomly 100 times for the achieve, and more precisely for digging up hidden chests in the Zones. Refer to the wiki for dig sites.
